Distillery District, a blend of heritage and recreation, is in Toronto, Canada. This popular Tourists’ Attraction was founded in 1832 and since then it has been the center of Art and Culture. Distillery, Toronto's Heritage district was founded by the two Britons, William Gooderman and James Wort who were brothers-in-law of each other. They started with the manufacturing unit of whiskey and spirit distillation and gradually, this place became known as Distillery District in the city of Toronto. The Heritage site of Distillery is an example of the Victorian Industrial Architecture in North America. Since the founders were Englishmen; the ambiance contained an inherent British flavor.
During the late 20th Century, the commercial value of whiskey and spirit distillation units became permanently affected due to the economic recession. Later the Distillery District Toronto and its thirteen acre Distillery District Map were remodeled to a beautiful assortment of retreats with provisions for music, entertainment, restaurants, shops and movie theatres. Live music in the cobblestone streets and art exhibitions together create a subliminal atmosphere in the Distillery District. The Victorian structures of Industrial buildings adjacent to the bricked seamed street, is the most popular Tourists Attractions in Toronto Distillery District of Ontario. The Distillery District now promotes internationally acclaimed galleries, theaters, fashion and interior designing boutiques, studios, and works of famous artists.
